We typically start posting career opportunities for students and graduates with the co-op and student employment centers at a number of universities and colleges during the fall and winter (September through January) of each year, in addition to listing them on our website under current opportunities.

To assist you in making your career decision, we have included answers to a number of frequently asked questions.  Feel free to contact us if you have questions that are not addressed below.

Where are the opportunities located?

Opportunities vary for each branch.  We have locations in British Columbia and Alberta including Kamloops, Kelowna, Richmond, Nelson, Fort St. John, Edmonton and Calgary. Check individual postings for their location.

When do you recruit?

The majority of our graduate recruitment is conducted in the fall of each year with positions posted in September.  A few positions may be posted in December and January.  Postings for co-op positions take place in May for fall co-op work terms, in September for winter work terms, and January for summer co-op work terms.

Can I apply for a position if Urban Systems is not recruiting at my college or university?

Yes! Our employment opportunities are open to all qualified applicants.   If after viewing one of our graduate or co-op postings, you would like to submit an application, just follow the steps outlined in How to Apply.

When will I receive a response?

When submitting your resume via email you will receive an immediate confirmation via email notifying you that your resume has been received.  Those candidates selected for a first round interview can expect to be contacted within 2 weeks of receiving their resumes.

What kind of training does Urban Systems provide to its newly hired graduates?

Urban Systems is a knowledge based company.  We don’t expect your education to end once you arrive at Urban Systems.  We encourage you to develop expertise and we support professional and personal growth on an ongoing basis.
